B.Sc. Mechanical Engineering

Introduction

Mechanical Engineering is one of the oldest, and broadest engineering discipline, which is concerned with the utilization of principles of Energy, Mechanics, and Materials Sciences for the analysis, design, and manufacturing of a variety of mechanical systems including but not limited to Power Plants, Fluid Machinery, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Systems, Mechanisms and Machinery, Pipelines, Transportation Systems of all kinds. Mechanical Engineering also encompasses the engineering management of engineering organizations, in addition to maintenance of engineering equipments. BSc Mechanical Engineering program, a four years degree program is a well established program of the Department of Mechanical Engineering. The program, ranking is 301-350 worldwide in QS Ranking. The program is accredited by Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) under Outcome Based Education (OBE) in accordance with the Washington Accord (WA). The program is well structured with an up-to-date curriculum, and exposure to engineering activities like Complex Engineering Problems, Problem Based Learning, Open Ended Labs, and Projects. Students are provided with the opportunity of Internships at various engineering organizations for practical exposure. Mechanical Engineering graduates are employed in diversified engineering organizations.
