INTRODUCTION
There are two libraries on the campus; one, the main library of the campus and other is departmental library. The departmental library has a large collection of books. In addition to this, a number of books have routinely been procured. At present there are more than 7066 books available in the main library of the new campus out of which, books related to mechanical are 2300. Total development budget of main library is 0.750 M. Books related to Mechanical Engineering purchased between 2023 and 2024 amounted to a total of 64,171 PKR. The campus library is also equipped with modern facilities such as photocopiers, computers, internet, scanners, printers, video and audio equipment and computerized catalogues. Moreover, access to online journals is available to all the students of UET through its digital library.
In our departmental library, we boast a collection of 936 unique titles comprising a total of 2,640 books. Additionally, our library is well-equipped with essential facilities such as a photocopier, computer, internet access, scanner, and printer. Furthermore, students at UET enjoy access to a plethora of online journals through our digital library platform.
The students of New campus are also eligible to use the “National library of Engineering Sciences” of the main campus UET Lahore. It is one of the best libraries in the country and is fully equipped with all the necessary and modern facilities, along with a large number of books and journals associated with the discipline of Mechanical Engineering. There are about 110,000 books available in the UET’s main library out of which approximately 10% books are related to the field of Mechanical Engineering.
